We all know how to manage a road trip with a gas powered vehicle. There are stations everywhere to fill your car in a few minutes and estimating your gas mileage is pretty straight forward. Electric cars are different. While the number of charging stations are growing rapidly, there are not nearly as many of them as there are gas stations. They can take anywhere from 20min to a couple hours to charge your car depending on a number of factors. The cost to charge could be free or up to about 50 cents per kilowatt hour. What does that even mean? How you drive your car can have a large impact on how many miles you will get between charges.
